This is the Stage II Motor/Gearbox kit for all Powerwheels Jeep Hurricanes with a 15 tooth pinion on the stock motors. It has the fastest 550 motors combined with the most durable gears. At 18 volts this kit has a higher top speed then the Stage III or IV kits but not as much off-road power or long term durability. Easy to install... we've never had a customer that couldn't complete it! Kit includes:
- 2 Modified motors. The fastest 550's made for ride-ons anywhere.
- Motors have Internal Cooling Fans
- Torque sleeves on both motors for more low end power.
- Modified final gear ratio for more top speed.
- Quick change motor connectors. Makes motors/gearboxes easy to take in and out of vehicle.
- Bendable motor wire tabs so as not to break as easy as stock ones.
- Hardened Steel First Gears running on 2 ball bearings each.
- Hardened Steel Pinion Gears.

Motors are warrantied for up to 18 volts. Lithium batteries require using our Soft Start Low Voltage Lithium Module. It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to add the 550 Cooling Fan Kit if you do run 18 volts. Still helpful for 12 volt vehicles too.

If your gearbox is marked "15,16,17" then this kit will work

Required for assembly: Phillips and Standard Screwdriver, wire cutters/strippers, 120-150 grit sand paper, power drill, cookies.

Installation was a breeze. Havenâ€™t had a chance to break the motors in yet, but looking forward to getting it out this weekend and breaking them in.

Great performance, speed, sound

The 550s are much faster than stock even with nothing else changed and sound great too. Hoping the increased durability is realized since this upgrade is almost as much as I paid for the brand new car. Kids LOVE it.

Edit... pay attention to the description above. The 550s are good up to 18 volts. I forgot after a couple months and wired a second battery for 24 Volts. The kids were flying around a large parking lot. The car probably did nearly 15 mph for about 11 minutes. Both motors melted and seized. Keep it at 12 or 18 volts. Bought replacement 775s from ML Toys and working great at 24 volts.

Excellent service and quick delivery

The package I received was a bit confusing to me. I emailed for support and got an answer within 15min !!! Impressive !! The guys at Mltoys were very helpful and always got back to me to help me with the installation.

Great upgrade

I have been looking at this upgrade for awhile my son finally broke a gear in his gearbox on his hurricane, I emailed ML toys about what best set of for offroading and yard use with hills they suggested this set up and its great, very noticeable difference in speed, Gearbox has all new updated gear set much stronger than stock. Combined with 18v conversion the hurricane flys and my son loves every minute of it.
