Over time the bushings, steering linkage, and crossbar on Power Wheels Jeep Hurricanes wear out causing the front end to sag and get sloppy. Steering is reduced as is fun. This kit replaces all of the moving front end steering parts. All of the existing parts very easily unscrew and swap out.
The steering bar has been replaced with a heavier steel where the column goes through it to reduce wear over time.
The crossbar boxtube has been replaced with a powder coated steel.
The soft metal bushings that wear out on the crossbar have been replaced with steel tubes welded to the crossbar. This spreads the wear load across the entire bushing instead of the thin walls of the crossbar.
The flexible white plastic knuckles have been replaced with a stronger and thicker plastic end with more strategic reinforcement.
The soft metal rivets that hold the knuckles on have been replaced with stainless steel hardware. Some versions of Hurricanes will need a little plastic trimmed for the hardware to clear. Nothing difficult.
