This is the Stage IV Speed Motor/Gearbox kit for Stinger, Dune Racer, and Baja Extreme and Trailster. The Stage IV speed kit is specifically designed for 18 or 24 volts of SLA style batteries. The Massive 775 motors provide insane amounts of torque for off-road and handle 24 volt loads without a care. The gearboxes are made by MLToys specifically for higher-then-stock-speeds. The weakest link in the gearbox, the First Gear, has been replaced with a hardened steel first gear which spins on 2 ball bearings for maximum efficiency and minimal heat. The thicker-then-molasses stock grease has been replaced with our Teflon Race Grease designed to coat the gears and shafts to make them more slippery and create less heat buildup. The remaining gears are a much denser nylon filament. Even the gearbox housing is a more rigid design with grease channels designed to keep lubrication where it is needed. This setup is for die-hard speed addicts only. Installation is simply removing your old gearboxes and putting your Stage IV in its place. Kit includes:

- 2 massive 775 size Modified Motors with Internal Cooling Fans pre-installed in gearboxes.
- Torque sleeves on both motors.

Superb Quality and Faster Than Expected

I have been doing custom work on my kids’ powerwheels for four years. Small upgrades here and there. I bought some cheap 550’s off of amazon, they worked decent but it wasn’t what I wanted.
I came across ML Toys last year, and I said when I smoke the current motors I would get the 775 motors. So, as expected I smokes the 550 motors, (allegedly on purpose). I opted for the 775 motors and the upgraded gearboxes. After I installed them, I finished the wiring upgrades and put the dune racer on jackstands and did the break in run. As soon as I pressed the petal I panicked because the wheels were spinning so fast, I thought it was in high gear, but it was in low. It says to break in for 20 minutes in low speed, so I did thirty to be safe. (An extra 10 minutes after I gave the motors a short break.)
For the first few runs I had my kids drive around in low speed. Then I allowed them to go into high gear, and let me tell you… this thing took off and did a donut. My 7 year old is a natural at drifting, so it was a poetically beautiful sight to see and hear his excited laughter.
I have told everyone about these motors. And I cannot recommend them enough. If you are wanting torque and speed, skip buying cheap 550’s or 555’s, get ANY of the MLToys kits, but I recommend the stage IV kit with the gear boxes. They fit exactly and are pre-installed.
(I have four 12v 12ah SLA batteries ran series and parallel, giving me 24v 24ah power).

I'd love to give it more stars but it hasnt been delivered so I honestly cant tell you yet sorry guys...

Broken parts

Received the gearboxes cracked and unusable. ML toys responded quick and ship out some new ones to me. Everything works great only rated 4 stars instead of 5 because I feel like it could use a little more speed on the top end.
