Description

Power Wheels has discontinued the original Porsche GT3 tires. This kit replaces them with a new tire that has the exact same diameter, width, and tread pattern. But it is offest 1" wider (which we think makes the car look cooler). In order to use these tires you do need to replace the hubcaps with the ones provided in this kit and it will require some simple cutting on your part.
Kit includes:
4 wheels, hubcaps, center hubs, and bushings. 2 cap nuts.
You will need:
Hammer, pliers, straight head screwdriver, Sharpie, 9/16" wrench or socket, 7/16" and 1" drill bit (and drill), and a saw/knife/dremel to trim plastic.

Rear Tires:
1. Remove the black center wheel caps by popping them off with a straight head screwdriver.
2. Crush one black cap nut with a pair of pliers until it falls off.
3. Remove a tire, then slide the other tire and axle assembly out of the car.
4. Drill about 1/4" depth into the center of an orange hubcap using a 1" drill bit (as pictured). Repeat on a second hubcap. Don't worry about appearance... they will be covered by the center hubs. (see photo)
5. Use a 7/16" drill bit to clean out the axle hole of the hubcaps you just drilled. Test if they slide freely onto the rear axle. Keep running the drill bit through until they do. Older GT3's may have a slightly swollen axle so you may need to enlarge the holes.
6. Remove the old tire from the rear axle leaving the cap nut on the axle.
7. Install onto the axle one hubcap, wheel, bushing, and original driver hub.
8. Slide axle through car then install a driver hub, bushing, wheel, and hubcap.
9. Hammer a cap nut onto the end of the axle. You want about 1/8" of play left in the axle so don't go too tight.
10. Snap the center hubs onto the hubcaps.

Front Tires:
1. Remove the black center wheel caps by popping them off with a straight head screwdriver.
2. Remove the wheel nuts with a 9/16" wrench. Remove the tires and bushing. Leave the washer on.
3. Use a 7/16" drill bit to clean out the axle holes on the orange front hubcaps (they have a smaller hole then the rear hubcaps). Test if they slide freely onto the rear axle. Keep running the drill bit through until they do. Older GT3's may have a slightly swollen axle so you may need to enlarge the holes.
4. On each axle put a wheel bushing, wheel, and hubcap. Install lock nut. Tighten all the way, then loosen until the wheels spin freely.
5. Stand the car on it's tail and mark the inside fenders / back of headlights where the tires rub with a Sharpie marker. (see photo)
6. Remove wheels and trim the plastic for clearance. Do not cut the chrome headlight housing.
7. Re-install wheels. Snap center hubs onto hubcaps when done.
8. Go Fast!!
